If you’ve eaten all the food or swallowed all the wine you possibly can, embark on an adventure of a different type. There are all kinds of experiences to be had in Napa, from something picturesque – think hot air balloon ride – to something you’d never want a photo of (mud bath, anyone?). Here are our picks for the Napa experiences that will make memories. All of the establishments below have met our strict criteria for inclusion: be really fun or you’re off the list.
Sports:
Lake Berryessa: About an hour away, you can enjoy all water sports and rentals during the warm season (which lasts until October!)
Napa Valley Bike Tours: Based in Yountville, they will set up a “must see” ride, including the best restaurants and wineries on your route. They even have electric bikes, which might make for an easier return trip in the afternoon.
Silverado Country Club Golf Course: Two 18-hole, par 72 championship golf courses will provide you with a perfect morning of challenging golf across 360 lush acres.
Vintner’s Golf Club: This championship nine-hole resort course features three different sets of tees, so players of all skill levels will enjoy it. The best news? It’s only 10 minutes from the hotel.

Spas:
Villagio: Great indoor/outdoor space with separate areas for men and women. Amazing facials and manicures.
Solage Calistoga: If you aren’t interested in the communal mud bath experience, do it here with volcanic ash and hot mineral water. Your own individual mudslide!
Napa Spa: In downtown Napa, this is an affordable way to find your bliss.
Other Adventures:
Napa Valley Wine Train: The classic trip through wine country.
Beau Wine Tours: Owners Georgia and Tom have put together a great group of drivers who are very knowledgeable about the best wineries to visit. Call them for all your transportation needs in the Valley.
Balloons Above the Valley: No visit is complete without a ride above the vineyards in a hot air balloon. They will pick you up from the hotel (and of course make a safe return), and breakfast is included. We can take care of all the details for you at the Front Desk.
